Fig 40G
Apical radiolucency was also observed around teeth
# 46 and 45. A large 46DO composite restoration was
#
present with generalized horizontal bone loss.
Fig 40H
A small apical radiolucency was observed around tooth
#
# 35. 37 is mesially tipped as a result of the loss of 36; a
#
#
radiopaque entity also surrounds the roots of 37.
Fig 40I
#
# 45 presented with intact coronal tooth structure, 46
on the other hand has an obvious cervical caries. Since
both teeth presented with apical radiolucency, cavity
testing for both was recommended, but it was rejected
by the patient. The patient then consented to a less
invasive approach – CBCT imaging.
