HCC: The patient reported biting into a piece of bone a year ago and chipped a

corner on 41 (Fig 40A). She was told by her dentist that there is an
infection around all three lower front teeth that will require endodontic

treatment and crowns. This scared her and since she wasn’t experiencing

any discomfort, she didn’t go back for treatment. Another six months
went by before she started having sensitivity to both hot and cold with

occasional dull ache, and that’s when she was referred here for
consultation. She does NOT want any more extractions.
