When faced with a possible endo-perio combined lesion, complete
the root canal treatment first and reassess for the need for
periodontal treatment

tooth 46 to be extracted as it has been causing

him severe pain and insomnia. 46 was
previously root canal treated with inadequate
obturation and has both apical and furcal
radiolucency.

# 46 retreatment consultation was completed a
year ago, but patient was not motivated to
proceed with treatment as he was experiencing
minimal discomfort.
