the mesial root towards the furcation area, if intervention
was delayed, in order to retain the tooth, the patient may
have needed more than just a root canal retreatment.

MH: Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, Type II Diabetes; all controlled with
medication

HCC: The patient complained of swelling on the lower right posterior. He had
not been able to eat or sleep for days. He wished to extract the tooth this
day.
O E/O: Right facial swelling hot to the touch
