regular follow-ups.

4) Follow-up

1-year – A radiograph taken from a different angle showed continuous

healing of the lesion (Fig 23D). In addition, EPT of 31 returned
to within the normal range. Therefore, it was recommended that

the patient return to the restorative dentist for final restoration of
# 32 to prevent any coronal leakage.

3-years –The radiograph showed reappearance of the lamina dura around

# 32. Near complete healing of the apical lesion was observed (Fig
23E), and the adjacent teeth remained vital. This demonstrates

how extruded sealers do not affect apical healing.
