P. 23
Case 35
Primary periodontal lesion with endodontic involvement requires
both endodontic and periodontal treatment.
This case demonstrates incomplete healing due to limited patient
cooperation.
Fig 35A
The patient complained of occasional abscess
formation since his hygiene appointment and
#
reported that he has not been able to chew on 24
due to its mobility.

#
Tooth 24 presented with exceptional anatomy
(three roots), grade 3 mobility, and an apical
radiolucent lesion. Even though no caries or cracks
#
were present on tooth 24, pulp vitality test
revealed that it was in fact necrotic and a sinogram
#
with a gutta percha cone verified tooth 24 as the
culprit for the abscess.
