4) Follow-up

3-months – The patient reported no discomfort to 41 and that she has been
under care of the referring dentist for the remaining teeth.
Radiographic examination shows reduction in the apical
radiolucency around 41, reformation of lamina dura around 31,

# 42, and slightly around 41 (Fig 24L). The sealer puff will be
#
resorbed by the body as the lesion heals over time.
6-months – The six-months post-op radiograph shows near complete healing
#
of the apical lesion around tooth 41 with reformation of its
lamina dura (Fig 24M).
1-year – The periapical radiograph shows complete healing of the
radiolucent lesion and formation of lamina dura around 41 (Fig
#
#
#
24N). 12 and 41 have been successfully retained with no delays
to the patient’s orthodontic treatments (Fig 24O). The patient had
been very diligent with her oral hygiene, cherishing the treatment
result (Fig 24P).
